Privacy notice — launch waitlist

Last updated 6 August 2026 · Version 0.1 (draft)

Draft. This notice covers the website waitlist only and has not yet been reviewed by counsel. The in-app privacy policy, which covers the Currn application itself, is a separate document and is published before launch.

What this page covers

This notice describes what happens to information you give currn.app when you join the launch waitlist. It does not cover the Currn mobile app, which has its own policy.

What we collect

We do not collect your IP address, your device fingerprint, your referring page, or anything else. There are no analytics scripts, advertising pixels, or third-party trackers on this site.

What we do with it

One thing: we email you when Currn is available to download. Waitlist members are also told launch pricing first. Your address is never sold, rented, or shared with a third party, and it is not added to a marketing list. Every message we send includes a one-click unsubscribe.

Where it's stored

In Google Cloud Firestore, in a Firebase project operated by Currn. The collection cannot be read by any website visitor — security rules permit creating an entry and nothing else. Your address is stored under an irreversible hash of itself rather than in a readable path. Google acts as our data processor; see Firebase's privacy documentation.

The signup form is protected by Firebase App Check using Google reCAPTCHA v3, which is subject to Google's privacy policy and terms of service. It exists to keep automated submissions out.

How long we keep it

Until 90 days after launch, or until you ask us to delete it — whichever comes first. After the launch email has gone out and that window has passed, the waitlist is deleted in full.

Your choices

Email privacy@currn.app to see what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. We'll action it within 30 days. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights under the GDPR, the UK GDPR, or the CCPA/CPRA; we honour those requests regardless of jurisdiction, because the honest answer is that we hold one email address and deleting it is trivial.

Children

This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. Write to us if you believe we have.

Changes

If this notice changes materially before launch, the updated version is posted here with a new date, and anyone already on the list is emailed.
